Ok guys at first I got a code 3 and 15, 3 meaning manifold absolute pressure, 15 meaning ignition output signal.
I poped out the hazard fuse to reset the ecu, took the car for a drive and hit boost and the check engine light came on. I drove it back home and I am now recieiving a code 3 only.
This almost sounded like the check valves to me, I took the check valves out and tried to blow through them, interesting enough one was stuck. It seems like it cleared itself so then I took it for a spin again and the check engine light poped on again. Went home, this time the check valve was stuck again! So Im going to go headout and get some new check valves, did you guys get any name brand I should get?? Thanks
Eric

Glad to see that you are on the right track to getting the turbo running right. I don't know any name brands for check valves but I have heard of them giving people fits. You might want to look into the missing link valve. It is billet aluminum and looks pretty trick too. Plus I heard it is a great valve.

Hey NC REX, those rods you got from that guy with a turbo ZC, are they B18 rods? Are they already milled to fit a ZC? If so let me know and I'm kinda interested in buying them from you. Let me know at [email protected] This might be a little easier than sending me that hood like we were talking a few months ago. Thanx

Sorry meant to say they were LS Integra rods from an 89 D16A1 DOHC engine, the sister-engine to the ZC. They are direct bolt in internals for the engine. The SRP's are expensive, they are 9.0:1 Compression.

They're not any stronger than the ZC rods are they? Do you know how much to mill off the B18 rods? I'm gonna do a ring job soon, so I wh t stronger rods. How much for the pistons? and are they in good shape?

bater...hahaha!!
Rods are better than the ZC's! Not a huge improvement. But the B18A is a huge improvement either. I would only go with a forged assembly set if your looking for putting down alot of power.
The Pistons are in great shape. I can take some more pictures for you to see. Current pics were just put up a minute ago under this link: http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/Forum178/HTML/000624.html

well...since everybody on this board bitches about how slow it is (babies, and I hope this offends those it is directed to) ..here's a direct link:

Man you guys post whored my message! Ahem NCREX! http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/smile.gif
Anyway good news is I think I fixed the oil issue, I left some rings from the old oil pan gasket on when I put the new gasket on.
The check valves seem to get stuck open sometime causing a vacuum leak, the car almost stalls out, and if I hit boost I get a check engine. Today I drove it and it was fine, no check engine, what gives!?

Said it once already but the check valves are causing it. There could be other things...but I'd try it fix by fix and see where it gets you.
